Social Inclusion

Our Social Inclusion program focuses on restoring dignity to the most marginalized members of society.

The flagship New Dawn Project partners with Kajiado Women’s Prison to provide not just milk and bread for prisoners, but “blessing bags” for women being released—containing clothes, toiletries, a Bible, transportation fare, and a cell phone with all the essentials needed to step into freedom. We make regular visits of encouragement with music and activities for prisoners and staff. We also provide food baskets to refugee groups (particularly young women) and deliver meal kits and groceries to the sick and shut-in who cannot mobilize or afford basic staples.

Why It Matters

Some people in our communities are forgotten—women exiting prison with nothing, refugees struggling to survive, the sick and elderly unable to leave their homes or buy food. Without support, women released from prison often return to the same desperate circumstances that led to incarceration. Refugees face isolation and hunger. The sick and shut-in suffer in silence.

We believe every person deserves dignity, belonging, and a fresh start. By showing up for the forgotten and walking alongside those society overlooks, we demonstrate that no one is beyond hope and everyone deserves to be seen, valued, and supported.

New Dawn Prison Project - Blessing Bags

Target Beneficiaries: Women re-entering society after incarceration

This project provides blessing bags to women being released from Kajiado Women's Prison, containing everything needed to step into freedom—clothes, toiletries, a Bible, transportation fare, and a cell phone.

Prison Supply Support

Target Beneficiaries: Prisoners and children at Kajiado Women's Prison

This project provides essential supplies—toilet tissue, soap, deodorant, and dental care items—to women at Kajiado Women's Prison. For children under 4 staying with their mothers, we provide bedding, clothes, small toys, books, milk, and bread during our visits.

Sick and Shut-In Food Bundles

Target Beneficiaries: The sick, elderly, and homebound

Working with Community Health Promoters, this project identifies the sick and shut-in who cannot leave their homes or afford basic staples. We provide food bundles that sustain families for weeks, offering not just nutrition but the reminder that they are seen, valued, and not alone in their struggle.

How We Work

01

Show Up & Serve

We maintain regular relationships with Kajiado Women’s Prison, refugee communities, and homebound individuals, providing basic necessities like food, toiletries, and supplies while offering encouragement and human connection.

02

Prepare & Equip

We create blessing bags for women exiting prison with everything needed for a fresh start—clothes, toiletries, transportation fare, a phone, and a Bible—removing barriers and restoring dignity at a critical transition point.

03

Connect & Sustain

Working with Community Health Promoters and local partners, we identify the sick, shut-in, and vulnerable, delivering food bundles and ongoing support that sustains families and demonstrates they are not alone.
